With over 17+ years of experience in digital experience technology, content & commerce, solution architecture, software engineering, and AI, Dan has the breadth and depth of experience to understand client’s businesses and recommend the right technology solutions and provide an actionable plan.
Before founding DXP Catalyst Consulting in 2023, Dan spent the last 10+ years at digital agencies and large consulting firms focused on the digital experience technology space.
- While at NorthPoint Digital (acquired by EY, Oct 2015), he focused on architecting and building sites for clients on open source CMS platforms including Drupal and WordPress. He worked with clients out of the Boston/New York markets. He was mentored by some of the best leaders in the industry during his time here.
- At EY, Dan supported senior leadership in starting a digital commerce practice where he conducting platform assessments as well as provided technical and solution architecture services for Fortune 500 organizations across NA. From a technology standpoint, he focused on SAP Commerce, CloudCraze (Salesforce), and InsiteCommerce (Optimizely).
- In 2018, Dan relocated from Boston to NYC and joined Blue Fountain Media as Head of Technology. Over the next 3 years, he shifted their business upmarket establishing new offerings (tech & platform strategy, solution architecture, and enterprise content & commerce implementations). Some of the new partnerships formed included Adobe, Sitecore, Optimizely, SAP, Commercetools, BigCommerce, and WP Engine. He consulted with organizations across a diverse set of industries and conducted many enterprise platform assessments across capabilities include content, commerce, multi-vendor marketplaces, etc.
- From 2021-2023, Dan took on a new role at Avanade (joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft) supporting the growth of their new digital agency spun up within the company. While his focus the last year was primarily sales origination for the Customer Experience practice across NA, he consulted with Fortune 500 Avanade and Accenture clients on DXP strategy and solution architecture.
Post graduation from the University of Maine in 2007 (B.S. Computer Science, focus on AI/Natural Language Processing), Dan got his start as a software engineering working at a couple different organizations the following 6-7 years. His first role was a startup company (Milcord) doing R&D, creating intelligent applications (machine learning) in the information security space for government agencies. He was exposed to implementing with a variety of different languages (PHP, C++, Java, Python) and frameworks. He has 6 publications from his time there. He also spent a couple years as an engineer at OnForce (acquired by WorkMarket, then ADP) working on feature development for their freelance management platform such as the matching algorithm.
