Case study
DXP and MarTech Strategy for Risepoint
The challenge
Risepoint, a PE-backed EdTech company, partnered with 200+ universities to build lead-generation websites and manage digital marketing for the student lifecycle.
Its digital ecosystem became fragmented across legacy CMS platforms and disconnected data sources. Launching a new partner site took ~16 weeks and the org could not scale personalization, experimentation, or coordinated digital experiences across channels.
Leadership sought support from an independent advisor to define platform strategy.
What we did
Led a 10-week DXP assessment as an independent advisor to the CIO, CTO, and VP of Digital Experience.
Introduced a dual-track evaluation combining a structured RFP with a broader architecture and ecosystem analysis. Developed a future-state solution architecture supporting multi-site delivery, centralized data integration, and extensibility for AI-enabled capabilities.
The recommended platform ecosystem spanned CMS, CMP, personalization, experimentation, CDP, analytics, and more.
Outcome
Delivered a clear platform strategy and architectural blueprint for modernizing the company's digital ecosystem.
The engagement aligned executive and technical teams around a composable DXP architecture designed to support hundreds of sites while enabling faster site launches, personalization, experimentation, and omni-channel student experiences.
The client subsequently retained me to support roadmap development and implementation planning as part of its broader transformation program.
